By the Book- I Heart Faces

I took this snapshot of my husband reading bedtime stories to our 4 year old in his bed one night.  When I saw Adam wearing those bright orange and yellow polka dotted sunglasses I knew I had to run and grab my camera!  This is one of those classic photos that I will cherish forever :)

Beautiful Eyes

This was such a tough choice for me! I have two gorgeous little boys with the most beautiful sparkly eyes
and they are exact opposites :)

.
. In the end I picked this image because if it is true that the eyes are the windows to the soul then you can easily see just how beautiful he is inside and out!

Show and Tell: Playing catch-up

SUMMER is officially here.

We're soaking up the warmth one day at a time.
First things first, we bought a
trampoline and
BOY do we love it.

Clayton and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary.
No pictures..too busy havin' fun!
Clayton's sister took our boys and we had 2 WHOLE days and nights alone! Woo Hoo!

The boys have been keeping each other busy.

We've gone camping and fishing already.
No fish caught just yet but Adam is looking forward to it!

Camping was an adventure to say the least.

Long story short:

We had a trailer but NO keys.

So we bought a tent.

10 years ago I vowed I would never sleep in a tent again and I kept my word.
Until this trip.
It was as bad as I remembered.
Made worse by the plug that was MISSING from the air mattress.

Somehow we all managed to survive. Even me.

We celebrated this wonderful man on Father's Day.
He's the best dad ever.
This lovely picture taken on our camping trip was obviously shot BEFORE I was informed that the plug was missing from the air mattress.

My camera has become an extension of my body.
I can't stop taking pictures of our beautiful boys.

When I'm not shooting my family I'm shooting someone elses.
With my camera. of course.

See that adorable doggy above?
That's MiLO
He was my very first baby. I love him to the moon and back.
For 5 years I dressed him up daily and spoiled him rotten.
Then he went to the family he was meant to be with forever.
It's a different type of adoption story but it's an open adoption and that's the best kind.
Someday I'll write it down and share it.

See more of my images here and here.

Busy, busy, busy and lovin' it.

Let's Here it For the Boys

Here's my entry for this weeks theme:
Let's here it for the boys

I love this picture because even though all 3 of them aren't clearly visible, you can still get a sense of all the fun they were having!

You get a glimpse of daddy wrestling with our oldest son in the background and Of course the grin on my youngest sons face (front and center) helps too :)

The 3 of them are inseparable .

I Heart Faces: Slice Of Life

I love this picture, it is one of my favorites of last summer. .
.
This little guy adores his daddy
.
No one else can wrestle like daddy

or play hide & seek like daddy
.
and no one can make a game of chase more exciting

than daddy

I heart Faces challenge

This week at I Heart Faces it is all about the peoples choice.
I took this picture one day last week when the sun actually
peeked out from behind that gloomy sky we've been
getting all winter.

I Heart Faces

It's hard to see the snow in his glove but he was obsessed with eating it. We had to have the cautionary "We don't eat yellow snow" talk just to make sure he knew the difference! LOL

I Heart Faces- Scenic B&W

Here is my entry for the Scenic B&W theme.

This photo was taken in a garden on a huge farm during a wedding shoot I did this summer.
I also love it in color because her Umbrella was bright pink which is what inspired me to take the photo!

I Heart Faces- Orange

I just can't resist entering the I Heart Faces challenge this week...after all how often can you get a picture as priceless as this one??.

There's nothing like his first pre-school field trip to the pumpkin patch...I only dragged him kicking and screaming through most of it and he rewarded me with this adorable face at the end.
