Adam turns 3

Adam turned 3 on Friday!!! We can't believe our little guy is so grown up!! He is such sweet and fun little boy and we can't imagine our lives without him in it!

I found a picture of a cake on-line that I really wanted to recreate for Adam. I started planning for this back in May just to make sure I had all the materials I needed to accomplish it!

Here (below) is the picture of my "Inspiration" cake...

Here (below) is how Adam's cake turned out!!!

It took me all day but it was so worth it because Adam loved it!

The giraffe, the name, and all the brown parts on the cake were made from modeling chocolate. I couldn't find anyplace that actually sold the modeling chocolate so I had to make it myself and then mold it.

We were up bright and early at 6:30am so that Adam could open his presents and play with Clayton a little bit before Clayton had to go to work. The big present we got him this year was Gorilla Mountain which is all jungle themed and comes with animals. Adam loves it :)

Adam had his first "friend" party this year..here is the invitation I made to send out.

Clayton came home for lunch to help with the party..we had so much fun!

His party was animal themed so the Lion Bounce House we got was perfect! We had 7 three year olds who couldn't agree more, they loved it and had such a good time!

The kids had cupcakes, and popsicles...they played duck duck goose, and chased each other all over the place. It was so fun and cute to see them all together :)

Adam had no shortage of help opening his presents from the kids :)

I put together litttle baggies for all the kiddos to take home. They all got a pair of animal themed sun glasses (so cool..I know) and some jungle animals and smarties (Adam's fave treat at the moment)

For dinner Adam requested that I make "Turos Teszta" which is a hungarian dish. It's also my favorite too so I was more than happy to make it! Of course he only likes it because it's full of bacon...he picked all the bacon out before eating the rest all the while singing "I like Turos Testa! I like Turos Teszta!" He also got to eat on our "You are Special" plate that we reserve for special occasions :)

Then it was time for our family party. Everyone came over for cake and ice cream. Adam's cousins got him the perfect b-day card...when he opens it, it makes monkey sounds lol.

Then it was time for cake!

He had been practicing all week to blow out his candle so when the time came he got it on the first try :)

I look away for one second and when I turned back I was shocked to see that he had sunk his teeth into his cake...literally...silly boy.

I'm glad he liked it and that he had wonderful birthday!!
