Spotlight: Ron and Jessica

Update: This family was matched with a birthmom and welcomed their newest addition to their family!

We're a singles ward success story!

Jessica had just graduated from college and it was her first Sunday at a new singles ward. She had gotten lost on the way to church and ended up being really late so she decided to sit on the chair just outside the meeting.

Ron was sitting in the back as the usher that day and saw her as she came inside. He knew he wanted to talk to her right away! As soon as the meeting ended he rushed out the doors and whisked her around the building under the guise of "helping" the new girl.

By the end of the church meetings Ron asked her out and within eight months we were married!

We've now been married for eight years.




We feel like the luckiest couple in the world to have been chosen to be the parents of a beautiful little boy almost two years ago.




We have an open adoption with our son's birthmother and have told him from the very start of his birthfamily and how much adoption means to us.

We love being together as a family.

Zachary has such an outgoing, friendly personality and it seems everyone is drawn to him with his bright blue eyes and big smile.

We're so excited to adopt again and welcome a little brother or sister to our family!
