Halloween Wreath

Thought I'd share a cute wreath I made this weekend :)

Full Disclaimer: I am not crafty. at all. I saw a tutorial for a tulle Halloween wreath that I thought was cute so I decided to do my own take on it... and here it is!

What you will need:

Round Foam wreath
.

Black tape (I used black duck tape)
.

1/2 yard of tulle of each color: orange, black, purple and green
.

You will also need a pair of scissors.

How to make the wreath:

Take your "duck" tape and wrap it around the the foam wreath so it covers all the white areas.
.
Cut the tulle into strips (mine where approx. 3 1/2 inches wide by 15 inches long)
wrap each piece around the foam wreath and tie it in a knot.

.
Create your pattern however you want. I mostly stuck to a pattern but sometimes mixed it up too. It was Orange, Green, Purple, Black..repeat.
.
If there was a spot that wasn't as full as I wanted it I just grabbed a piece of tulle and tied it in the spot to fill the gaps.
.
These wreath took about an 2 hours to make while I was playing with my kids. I think I could have easily cut down 45 min if I was focusing just on the wreath :)

I want to hang a cute Halloween saying in the middle of the wreath but I haven't found anything that I love yet. Or maybe even a little witch or a pumpkin would be cute! Whenever I get around to that I will post pictures of the finished product. For now I'm just happy to have something on the door!
.
What I like about this wreath is that you can totally make it your own! If you don't like all the colors I used then just go for an all over black or black and orange. You can also add a fun ribbon to hang it with (I just used more tulle). I'd love to see what you come up with!
