10 things to start off summer!

Have I ever mentioned that I love summer? So do Clayton and the boys. We pretty much have something going on every single day and that's just one of the things I love about summer..there is so much to do!


Here are ten things we've done so far and I can't wait for everything else we have planned:
(Most pictures are off my crappy phone sooo not the best quality!)

1. The Aquarium

Our boys love the aquarium! Adam was super excited to finally be able to pet a stingray this year! Cooper just likes to scream and run around mostly but he did like the Otters :)

2. Hogle Zoo

Hogle Zoo's new Rocky Shores exhibit just opened the first weekend in June and we made sure we were there!

My super adorable nephew!! I can't get enough of him!

3. Children's Art Festival

We go to this fun little art festival every year. The highlights for the boys are the face painting and the animal balloons. Adam's getting old enough to be able to do some of the arts and crafts too so we came home with several fun creations.

4. Popsicles!!

Rarely does a day go by when I don't get a request from one of my kiddos for a Popsicle.  I stocked up pretty well about a month ago and then one day when I turned my back Adam ran in the house grabbed our stash out of the freezer and then gave away all our popsicles to the neighborhood kids in about 5 minutes lol.  So now we make our own popsicles and I make sure to only freeze about 4 at a time :)

 

5. Orem SummerFest

We love the Orem Summer fest! Yummy food, craft booths, carnival rides, car show..need I say more??  Adam rode this rollercoaster all by himself for the first time..YES that is a look of pure terror and uneasiness on his face lol. I got a GREAT video of his first ride, I may be able to use it for bribery during his teenage years :)

6. Jumping on the Trampoline

I think this has by far been one of our best purchases for the boys. Last year Cooper was too little for the trampoline and was a bit scared of it but this year he LOVES it. He literally looks like the cutest bunny rabbit hopping around on it. Adam has perfected a few tricks this year and loves it too.

 7. Swim Lessons

Adam started swim lessons this week and to my surprise he is really enjoying it. He's not a fan of deep water so we weren't sure what his reaction would be but fortunately his instructor is awesome! 

8. Roasting Smore's

Our kids love roasting marshmallows! NO they don't eat them... they prefer the marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate separately and un-roasted  but what's not fun about poking sticks at a hot fire? lol

9. Running through the sprinklers

This picture (below) is actually misleading because it makes Cooper look like he's having fun when in fact he is screaming lol. He does not like sprinklers at all. Adam and I are usually the ones running through them :)

10. The Splash Pad and Water Park

We love the splash pad! Adam loves the water and Cooper loves sitting with me and pigging out on snacks lol. 
We also have passes to the water park which we all enjoy. As much as cooper hates sprinklers he does love water when it's in a pool setting :) 
 

We have lots more fun stuff planned but it makes me sad that it's already the end of June!! Summer doesn't last nearly long enough but we are trying to make the best of the time we have :)
